Friendly Skin Care for Children
The idea for our product started when our 7-year old daughter had dry spots and irritation on her face and arms. We discussed the issue with our pediatrician, who recommended well-known sticky and occlusive barrier creams. Trouble was, our daughter was so scared of these products that she would not let us apply them.
We designed a formula specifically for children with dry and irritated skin
We realized then that there really wasn’t a product on the market for children her age. The choices were the sticky petrolatum-based barrier creams or the baby lotions. We did not consider using products for adults on her skin because they often contain anti-aging ingredients and allergens. Especially because children’s skin is known to be more permeable and sensitive than adult skin.

Thus, we started designing a formula specifically for children with dry and irritated skin, and Nuthatch Naturals was born (named for our daughter’s nickname when she was a baby). Our goal was to make a product that is effective but not allergenic. We also wanted it to be as natural and sustainable as possible because we care deeply about the earth and our environment. And, it would be fun for kids to use every day, building a lifelong habit of good self-care. We love our product and we hope you will enjoy it too!
Nuthatch Naturals products are allergy tested and don’t use questionable ingredients. We use sustainable, recyclable packaging. And because we believe in helping all children, we donate 10% of our profits to Save The Children, an organization that provides lifesaving relief to children in the US and around the world.
